Zenith KS — Knee & Shoulder

What it costs

The numbers, on the page.

You should not have to ring a clinic to find out what something costs. Here is what we charge and what moves the number.

Consultation

Ask us — we will tell you before you book.

It covers reading your scans, examining you, and — if surgery turns out to be the right call — a written recovery pathway to take home. If it turns out you do not need an operation, you will leave with a plan for that instead.

02 Surgery, by procedure

Surgery is quoted as a range rather than a price, because two people having the same operation can reasonably pay different amounts. Message us with your case and you will get a written estimate before anything is fixed.

01 Meniscus repair What moves the number: the implant and suture system used, whether one or both menisci are involved, the hospital, and the type of room. You will have a written estimate before anything is fixed. On request
02 ACL reconstruction What moves the number: the fixation implants used, whether the meniscus needs work at the same time, the hospital, and the type of room. You will have a written estimate before anything is fixed. On request
03 Rotator cuff repair What moves the number: how many anchors the repair needs, the size of the tear, the hospital, and the type of room. You will have a written estimate before anything is fixed. On request
04 Shoulder stabilisation What moves the number: the number of anchors, whether bone loss means a larger reconstruction is needed, the hospital, and the type of room. You will have a written estimate before anything is fixed. On request
05 High tibial osteotomy What moves the number: the plate used, whether bone graft or substitute is needed, the hospital, and the type of room. You will have a written estimate before anything is fixed. On request
06 Multiligament knee reconstruction This varies more than any other procedure here, because the operation is built around your particular injury. What moves the number: how many ligaments, whether donor tissue is used, whether it is staged, the hospital and the length of stay. You will have a written estimate before anything is fixed. On request
07 Joint injections What moves the number: which medication is used, and whether ultrasound guidance is needed. On request

What moves the number

Surgery costs vary with the implant used and the hospital you are admitted to. You will get a written estimate before anything is fixed, and we will tell you what your insurance is likely to cover.

Questions about cost and insurance

01 What does a consultation cost?
The consultation fee is listed on the fees page. It covers reading your scans, examining you, and a written recovery pathway if surgery turns out to be the right call. We publish it rather than asking you to ring and find out.
02 Why are surgery costs given as a range?
Because two people having the same operation can pay meaningfully different amounts. The implant used, whether more than one problem is dealt with in the same sitting, the hospital, and the type of room all move the number. You get a written estimate before anything is fixed.
03 Will my insurance cover this?
Most arthroscopic procedures are covered by most policies, but the detail varies and waiting periods catch people out. Send us your policy details and we will tell you what we think is likely to be covered before you commit to anything.
04 Do you charge for a second opinion on a scan?
Send the report and images over and you will get a view on what it says and what we would do next. If it turns into a full consultation, the consultation fee applies.
09 Appointments

Book a consultation.

Bring your previous reports and imaging if you have them. If you are unsure whether your problem needs a surgeon at all, that is a reasonable question to arrive with.

Message us and you will hear back by the next working day.
